Illinois Public Adjuster license exams are held quite often. You do not have to register for the exam before the class but it is recommended. It is also recommended to schedule your exam 3-7 days after the class has ended, but it is not necessary if that is not possible.
Our classes are held every other month in the even numbered months.

Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI) is heavily focused on how public adjusters receive referrals. Earlier in 2026, IDOI released a bulletin stating that any person (roofer, contractor, etc.) referring leads or clients to a public adjuster MUST be licensed as a public adjuster if they are compensated or receiving ANY benefit from that referral.
This means that if you’re planning on becoming a career public adjuster, conducting business with unlicensed referral partners can risk the public adjuster’s contracts and ultimately their license.
